Deadlines & Policies
The advance registration prices are good through May 21, 2017. Higher on-site registration rates apply May 22 - 25, 2017.
On-line registrations: All on-line registrations will be immediately confirmed via email to the email address provided. You are able to enter a second email for a duplicate copy of the registration confirmation.
Fax or mail registrations: All fax or mail registrations will be confirmed via email upon receipt if an email address is provided.
Registrations that do not provide an email address will NOT be sent a confirmation.
Cancellations, Refunds, and Substitutions:
All cancellations and requests for refunds must be submitted to AWEA in writing via email to email@example.com or by fax to (508) 743-9621. Refunds may not be processed until after the completion of the conference. All refund requests received by April 14, 2017 will be processed less a $100 administrative fee. There will be NO refunds made for cancellations after April 14 or for no-shows and registration fees may not be transferred to a different AWEA event. However, substitutions are permitted for no charge. Email information on substitutions to firstname.lastname@example.org. DISCOVER Anaheim tickets cannot be refunded after Monday, May 8 even if the remainder of the registration will be used. Any refunds to credit card payments may only be credited back to the original credit card and cannot be refunded to a different card.
Visit the Registration Resource Center to make changes to some of your contact information as well as add special events and tickets to your existing registration.
Badges and materials may be picked up on-site at the event and will NOT be mailed in advance. Registration will be held in the lobby of the Anaheim Convention Center during the following hours:
- Monday, May 22, 8:00 am - 6:30 pm
- Tuesday, May 23, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm
- Wednesday, May 24, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
- Thursday, May 25, 8:30 am – 12:00 pm
VISA Invitation Letters:
Before an invitation letter can be provided, you must register for the conference and payment must be received via credit card, check (in US funds drawn on a US bank) or wire transfer. At that point, an invitation letter will be provided through the online registration system or the Registration Resource Center. Once an invitation letter has been provided, the remaining requirements of VISA application, necessary documentation, embassy or consulate interviews, etc... are the sole responsibility of the attendee. Should the VISA application be denied or not approved in time to attend the event, AWEA will refund the full registration fee back to the original credit card or by check if the original payment was provided by check or wire transfer. Simply email email@example.com should you not be able to attend the event due to VISA application related issues.
Dietary Restrictions / Disabilities / Special Requests:
If you need special accommodations or have specific dietary needs or allergies, please indicate those items when you register on-line or on the fax / mail registration form. Email firstname.lastname@example.org as early as possible to ensure we have enough time to arrange for your needs. All catered functions will provide vegetarian options.
The attire for WINDPOWER 2017 is business professional.
Other Event Policies:
It is extremely important that association members, meeting attendees, and speakers understand that the provisions of the antitrust laws regulate their conduct at association meetings. Please review the AWEA Antitrust Guidelines prior to arriving at the conference.
The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone at AWEA events. AWEA seeks to provide a conference environment in which diverse attendees may learn, network and enjoy the company of colleagues in a professional atmosphere. AWEA does not tolerate harassment of Conference attendees in any form. Use of sexual or discriminatory language and imagery is not appropriate for any Conference event. All attendees are expected to comply with this Event Anti-Harassment Policy at all Conference venues and Conference-related social events. Violators of this Event Anti-Harassment Policy may be sanctioned or expelled from the Conference at the discretion of the AWEA Conference organizers. AWEA reserves the right to refuse a new registration or cancel and refund an existing registration at our own discretion; or to eject any registrant from the event without any prior notice or refund if while at the conference their behavior is deemed disruptive, offensive, dangerous, illegal or if they are found to be distributing unauthorized material.
By accepting the Terms & Conditions during registration, you agree not to hold any trainings, receptions, client events, or other large gatherings of WINDPOWER participants during times that conflict with the official conference sessions, exhibition hours, or special events without prior approval by AWEA.
Contributions to AWEA and fees for AWEA events are not tax deductible as charitable contributions, but may be deductible as ordinary business expenses.
