AWEA Business Member Discounts: Significant registration discounts are available to AWEA Business Members. If you would like to join AWEA to take advantage of these discounts, simply visit http://www.awea.org/membercenter/business_membership.html or contact AWEA's Membership Director at membership@awea.org or (202) 383-2556.
Non-Profit Registration: Certain non-profit organizations may qualify for a registration discount, equivalent to the student / faculty rates listed above. If you wish to be considered for the non-profit registration category, please email conference@awea.org with your full contact information and a brief description of your non-profit organization. You will receive a response to your request via email within 2 weeks.
Press Passes: Requests for complimentary press passes should be sent to Gina Miller at gmiller@awea.org.
Volunteer Positions: Volunteer positions are currently available for a variety of conference activities in exchange for a discounted or complimentary registration. Priorities for volunteer slots are given to students and there is a limit of 4 slots from the same organization. To be added to the volunteer interest list, send an email to education@awea.org. Confirmation of exact volunteer positions will occur closer to the conference.
Scholarships: For the third year in a row, AWEA is delighted to offer scholarships to WINDPOWER 2009 from the AWEA Educational Scholarship Fund. With the generous support of Suzlon Wind Energy, scholarships are available to cover the hotel and registration expenses for selected recipients. Interested applicants should CLICK HERE for more information. Applications are due by February 20, 2009. Notification of selection will occur by April 1, 2009.
Exhibition Open to Public: The Exhibition will be open to the general public on Thursday, May 7 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm for a fee of $5 per person. Children under 16 are complimentary but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire time while in the exhibition. No advance registration is required or available for this public time period. Cash is required for the entry fee. Visit registration in the on the third level of the McCormick Place Convention Center in Exhibit Hall B (North building) starting at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 7.
