Several ground transportation options from New Orleans International Airport are available with details listed below.  To hotels located near the convention center, approximate ground transportation costs are $2 by local bus, $24 one-way by shuttle van, or approximately $36 one-way by taxi.

Taxis: A taxi ride costs $36 from the airport to the Central Business District (CBD) for one or two persons and $15. (per passenger) for three or more passengers. Pick-up is on the lower level, outside the baggage claim area. There may be an additional charge for extra baggage. Uber:  The UberX ride-hailing service is also now available for pickups at Louis Armstrong airport with a minimum fare to and from New Orleans of $33, subject to variable pricing during high-demand periods.  Passengers are required to meet drivers at a designated “app based ride services” area within the ground transportation center on the upper level.  Drivers will park in a numbered space and notify passengers of the space via telephone call or text.

Shuttles: Discounted shuttle service is available from the airport to hotels using the Official Downtown Hotel Shuttle service provided by Airport Shuttle, exclusively for WINDPOWER attendees. Round-trip airport transportation rate is $35 per person and one-way $20 per person. Public Bus Transportation: The Airport-Downtown Express (E-2) provides service from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Kenner, down Airline Drive into New Orleans, taking approximately 50 minutes. The bus stop is on the second level of the airport in the outer lanes at Door 7, one way bus fare is $2.00. Hotel Shuttle Information:  Approximately half of the official conference hotels for WINDPOWER 2016 will have shuttle service to the convention center on show days during peak morning and evening travel times. Click here for more details

Parking at the Convention Center: Ample parking is available at the Convention Center – the daily parking rate is $10 in Lot F (or $20 for oversized vehicles), which is an open lot located directly across the street from Hall H. No in/out privileges, advance passes, or overnight parking is available.
