Located 5 miles south of downtown Las Vegas, it is approximately a 10 minute drive from Mandalay Bay. For more information on the McCarran International Airport, click here.
Several ground transportation options from McCarran International Airport are available including:
Taxis: Taxicabs are available on a first come, first serve basis from on the east side of the baggage claim in Terminal 1 and outside on Level Zero in Terminal 3. Expect to spend approximately $12 to $17 for a taxicab ride to the south end of the strip, although this could be higher depending on traffic. Please note, some taxis will not accept credit card payments, please notify the driver if you plan to use credit. Please click here for more information.
Shuttles: Group shuttles are an economical (and green!) way to travel. They are available on the west side of the baggage claim in Terminal 1 and outside on Level Zero in Terminal 3. Please note, group shuttles often make stops at several hotels on the strip. For more information on shuttle service and to find different shuttle companies please click here.
Public Bus Transportation: The RTC (Regional Transportation Commission) bus stop is located on Level Zero at Terminal 1. If your airline is in Terminal 3 then you will need to take the airport’s inter-terminal shuttle service to Terminal 1. A one-way 2 hour pass is $3.00 and can be purchased at the Ticket Vending Machines located at various RTC stops. (Please note: there is a machine located at the airport stop.) To plan your trip with RTC please click here.
Rental Cars: The McCarran Rent-A-Car Center houses all 11 rental car companies operating at LAS (Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, E-Z Rent-A-Car, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, and Thrifty). Blue and white McCarran Rent-A-Car Center shuttles will transport you to the center located 3 miles from the airport. In terminal 1 the shuttles are located on level 1 at the center median outside doors 10 and 11, and in terminal 3 the shuttles are located on level zero outside West doors 51-54 and East doors 55-58.
