Please note – some of the events noted below require an additional ticket and may have space limitations so be sure to purchase tickets early to secure your spot!
WINDPOWER 2014 Golf Open (Sponsored by Suzlon; Sunday, May 4; tee-off at 1:30 PM)
Come to Las Vegas early and start WINDPOWER with the WINDPOWER 2014 Golf Open. Sink a hole-in-one and win the GRAND PRIZE of $60,000. Additional prizes will be awarded for winning teams, as well as individual winners of the putting competition, longest drive (with optional participation in an extra cash pot), and closest to the pin. Dinner will be provided at the course and includes beer, wine, and soda. Transportation will be provided to and from the picturesque Silverstone Golf Club (Desert and Mountain) from Mandalay Bay. Proceeds from this exciting event support the Wind Energy Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the continued growth of wind energy through research, education, and communication. Opening Reception (Monday, May 5 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
WINDPOWER 2014 kicks off with the Opening Reception being held Monday, May 5 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the House of Blues Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay. Re-connect with existing colleagues and network with new business contacts before the show officially opens Tuesday morning!
An Opening Reception ticket is already included in the VIP Conference Pass, Main Conference Pass, and Exhibitor Booth Personnel Pass. If you have an Exhibition Only registration, or if you wish to bring a guest, you will need to purchase a separate ticket ($99) through registration.
WINDPOWER 5K Race (sponsored by GE; Tuesday, May 6, 6:00 AM)
AWEA announces the return of the popular WINDPOWER 5K race. The race will take place at Sunset Park; transportation will be provided to and from Mandalay Bay. Proceeds benefit the Wind Energy Foundation. Registration is now open.
Exhibition Happy Hour (Tuesday, May 6, 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM)
Wrap up your first full day at WINDPOWER 2014 by enjoying a beverage while visiting the various exhibit booths! Anyone with access to the exhibit hall on Tuesday can participate in this event.
Extended Booth Receptions (Tuesday, May 6 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
Exhibitors are welcome to host extended receptions in their booths on Tuesday evening after the official close of the hall. Email [email protected] for a booth reception form or if you have any additional questions.
Poster Reception (Wednesday, May 7 from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM)
Check out hundreds of informative poster presentations and connect with the poster authors during this reception in the exhibit hall. Don’t miss this excellent educational opportunity! Anyone with access to the exhibit hall on Wednesday can participate in this event.
A Sensational Night with a Sweet Bite (Wednesday, May 7, 6:30 PM)
Experience ONE night to remember, filled with glitter gloves, moonwalking, and the stunning choreography of Cirque du Soleil at Michael Jackson ONE. Join your colleagues in the exclusive WINDPOWER seating area to take part in a thrilling journey of majestic acrobatics, energetic dance, breathtaking music, and captivating visuals by the world’s largest theatrical producer of artistic entertainment.
